A theme (sometimes referred to as a “template”) determines the look and functionality of a WordPress site. It defines colors, fonts, its layout, etc. Themes can also include features such as support for e-commerce (WooCommerce) or blogging.
WordPress themes are available in both free and paid versions. Free themes can be downloaded mainly from the WordPress.org website. Paid themes are bought on various websites, but most often on ThemeForest.net
There are many different types of WordPress themes. Some themes are designed for blogs, others for businesses and others for personal sites. There are also themes specifically designed for particular purposes, such as selling products, real estate or providing education.
How to install the theme
Installing a WordPress theme is easy. You can do this in the admin area of WordPress. Just click on Appearance > Themes and then click Add New. Select the theme you want to install and click Install. After installing the theme, you can activate it by clicking the Activate button.
When you activate the theme, the appearance of your page will change. Most themes have many different settings that you can use to fine-tune it to your liking. You can access them via Appearance > Customize, or for some themes there will be a new separate menu item where you can set it all up.
WordPress themes are a great way to change the look and feel of your WordPress site without having to modify the code. They provide a wide range of options so you can find a theme that suits your needs.
