What is WordPress?

WordPress is currently the world’s most widely used open-source content management system(CMS) for building websites.

It is programmed in PHP and uses MySQL (or MariaDB) database. It is basically provided free of charge. Some of its extensions(plugins and themes) can be paid. You can create a beautiful, fully responsive website, whether a blog, a company presentation or even an e-shop, even without programming knowledge. A large number of different plugins allows you to create basically any page with different functionality. This WordPress blog is also created in WordPress.
